AWCSG Garners T20 Support and Adds Programming Content
The American Women’s Cricket Support Group (AWCSG) will host its inaugural Women’s Premier T20 Tournament April 3-5 at Orlando Cricket Ground in Orlando, Florida—marking a crucial moment for women’s cricket in America.
Since launching earlier this year, the AWCSG has united a growing coalition of supporters committed to furthering women’s cricket nationwide. The Seattle Orcas of Major League Cricket, usacricketers.com, American Women’s Cricket Club, St. Louis Women’s Open, National Women’s Cricket League, San Diego Open Women’s Cricket League, Houston Women’s Open 2026, Strikers Cricket, Capital Women Cricket League, and Blazers Women’s Bay Area Open have all joined in supporting the AWCSG 2026 Women’s Invitational Draft T20 Tournament.

“Plans are progressing smoothly for our first tournament,” says Mitali Das, a member of the AWCSG’s Tournament Operations Committee. “All of the players drafted have been notified, and the excitement is building rapidly. This is just the beginning—we’re creating a platform where talented women cricketers can display their talents on a competitive stage.”
Beyond the three Premier T20 tournaments over the next year, the AWCSG is developing support programming for American women and girls cricketers, including female-specific sports psychology, physical conditioning and injury-prevention techniques, mental preparation, performance psychology, and guidance on juggling academic studies, work, and cricket.
