BCA Launches National Women’s T20 Tournament

Eight franchises and 100+ players from the USA and Canada are expected to participate in the USA’s largest Women’s cricket event.

The Blazers Cricket Academy (BCA) is excited to announce the inaugural Blazers Bay Area Open National Women’s T20 tournament. Sanctioned by USA Cricket, the tournament will be held over the Labor Day weekend in the Bay Area, California. The landmark event will feature over 100 women cricketers, making it the largest women’s cricket tournament ever held in the USA.


As part of the East Bay Blazers—Western Division Champions of the 2023 Minor League Cricket Tournament—BCA is committed to advancing women’s cricket through this nationwide initiative, providing a platform for elite competition and promoting the sport.

Title Sponsorship and Support
MethodHub, a leading USA-based software services company, is the title sponsor for the prestigious event. The Northern California Cricket Association (NCCA), the USA’s largest and oldest leather ball cricket league, supports the tournament by providing facilities and grounds. Marin Cricket Club, a key NCCA member, is listed as contributing to the inaugural tournament.

Ninja Caster will live stream the event, ensuring fans can enjoy the matches in real-time. Shan Restaurant in Santa Clara is the official food sponsor, while Covetit, an IT and staffing solutions company, is another key sponsor.

Tournament Highlights
The Blazers Bay Area Open will feature eight franchises from the USA and Canada, with teams selected through an open draft. Matches will be played on top-quality natural turf wickets at the Santa Clara Cricket Field and the state-of-the-art turf pitch at Easterbrook Discovery School in San Jose.

Launching alongside the Bay Area’s MiLC 2024—the premier domestic cricket tournament for men—the Blazers Bay Area Open is expected to draw significant attention.
