Broward County Stadium To Host USA First ODI Home Series
The schedule for the USA Cricket Men’s National Team’s first ever home One Day International (ODI) series has been confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and will include a total of six games between the United States, Papua New Guinea and Namibia at Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
The schedule for these games, which are Team USA’s first games in the new ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2, are as follows:
September 13 USA vs Papua New Guinea
September 17 USA vs Namibia
September 19 USA vs Papua New Guinea
September 20 USA vs Namibia
September 22 Papua New Guinea vs Namibia
September 23 Papua New Guinea vs Namibia
All games start at 9.45am local time.
USA Cricket is also delighted to announce that all six One Day Internationals, including the four ODIs featuring Team USA, will have free admission for all members of the public who wish to attend.
ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 includes the ODI countries ranked 13th – 20th in the world with Nepal, Oman, Scotland, and UAE joining the three teams above. Each team will play a total of 36 ODIs over the next two and half years in an effort to qualify for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 with the top three teams in the League advancing directly to the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022.
The bottom four teams from League 2 will drop into the Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-Off 2022 with the winners of Challenge League A and B and the top two teams in that Play-Off will also move directly into the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022.
