The New York Youth Cricket Academy U19 team is ready to compete in the NYR U19 Regional Tournament scheduled to kicked-off on Saturday, June 4th. Captain Trison Carmichael of NYYCA stated “I can’t wait to play some competitive cricket once again”.
Sources stated that the New York Cricket Region will use this tournament as a selection process for the NYR under-19 boys. The organizers, players, coaches and managers must all be commended for their effort made in promoting youth cricket in the Tristate area once again.
The New York Youth Cricket Academy, a fully insured organization will conduct coaching sessions at Baisley South on Saturdays from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, and two days during the week (TBA) after the completion of the PSAL cricket season.
Certified coaches, Kevin Darlington, Rudy John, Ricky Kissoon, and Windward Islands National Player Keddy Lesporis will be in attendance to assist any youths that would be interested in improving their cricketing skills, and having FUN playing the game.
The Academy plans on teaming up with the New York Partnerships for Parks. Partnerships for Parks is an innovative joint program of City Parks Foundation and the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. Partnerships for Parks help New Yorkers work together to make neighborhood parks thrive. Members of the New York Youth Cricket Academy plans on working together to enrich Baisley South Park.
