Cavaliers Beat Middlesex Despite Mark Audain Ton

On Sunday June 25th, at Marine Park B, Middlesex took on Cavaliers in a Vincy grudge match. The game was reduced from 40 overs to 30 overs because of the late arrival of Cavaliers players. Middlesex claimed the toss and elected to take first strike.

Mark Audain and Debrup Bhattacharya of Middlesex shared an opening partnership of 170 runs.

The pair produced a 170 runs partnership, Mark Audain a brilliant 101 (3 x 6s, 12 x 4s), Debrup Bhattacharya a classic 54 (5 x 4s). Middlesex compiled a total of 206 for the loss of 5 wickets. Cavaliers bowling figures were, Shaquille Allick 6 overs, 35 runs, 2 wickets, Kiran Cuffie 6 overs, 55 runs, 2 wickets, Orlando Mofford 5 overs, 18 runs, 1 wicket.

Cavaliers hit off the target, 207 for the loss of six wickets from 27 overs. Darnley Grant led the response with a swash buckling 96 (4 x 6s, 8x 4s), Shaquille Allick and Allan John 19 each.
