CCA Celebrate a Successful 2016 Season

The California Cricket Academy (CCA) held its 14th Annual Awards Ceremony at Quinlan Community Center on 19 November 2016. The evening was full of fun and excitement with sponsors, CCA parents and youth players in attendance.
Founders Kinjal and Hemant Buch kicked-off the event with highlights of the year gone by and recognizing the support from the City and the Sponsors.
The California Cricket Festival held earlier in the year was a major event conducted by CCA and was described by Chairman Biju Kattuparambil and the various team leaders Rajib Arjun, Pavan Mullapudi, Rajesh Bhat, Bharani Seshan, Biju Nair, Swapna Shintre and Chanchal Sahai.
CCA players won tournaments and hearts nationally and internationally by winning Under-14 North West Regional (NWR) championship in Chicago for the second year in a row, the Under-11 Somerset County championship for the second year in a row, and the CCF Under-15 championship.
Rishi Kumar, Council Member for the City of Saratoga had encouraging words for all players. Hemant and Kinjal Buch were presented with certificates of appreciation from the Council Member.
Awards were presented in recognition of outstanding performances by the players in the annual tournaments, and volunteers were recognized with special mementos.
The awards ceremony ended with music from Octane DJ and dancing.
