Cliff Roye Elected President For 2014-15 Term

As stipulated by the Constitution of NYMDCA elections for an Executive body for the 2014 – 2015 term were held on February 22 at its 2014 Annual general meeting.

In a presidential race with 12 eligible voters it ended in a tie between incumbent President Trevor Walfall and newly elected Cliff Roye. Then came a confusion as to what will be the tie-breaker, suggestions of a coin toss or a re-run was put forward but it was decided that it would be the vote of the returning officer who was Mr. Courtney LeGall of Atlantis Cricket Club and he voted in favor of Mr. Roye.

The Cliff Roye led executive will comprise the following members.
Cliff Roye (newly elected) – President
Auldie Brown (newly elected) – Vice President
Orval Crawford (re-elected) – Treasure
Venelda Wallace (newly elected) – Corresponding Secretary
Dervon Wallace (newly elected) – Recording Secretary
Quianna Reeves (re-elected) – Marketing Officer
Hugh Pitter (newly elected) – Public Relations Officer
Congrats to the new Executive!!

P.S. Cliff Roye was the Vice President of the previous body, Venelda Wallace was then the Recording Secretary and the no-nonsense Hugh Pitter is making a return to the executive body after serving in the past for a number of years.
