The Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy (DLCA) is excited to work with the California Cricket Academy in March to bring its program structures, coaches and program that has seen 18 players progress to International Cricket including current number two Test Batsman and number three T20 batsman, Alex Hales. On top of this the DLCA has seen over 100 players progress to First Class Cricket. The camps are only offered to California Cricket Academy members from March 21st-24th.
The DLCA has 3 key philosophies that underpin development and learning.
• Train uncomfortable (take yourself outside your comfort zone)
• Find a way (the best players find solutions to problems)
• Train on the edge (be prepared to make mistakes, this is part of improvement)
On top of that the cycle of development that is critical, and links all parts of training and competition.
Coaches that will be running the 3 day camp have combined over 60 years of experience in coaching in High Performance Programs in Australia, from Assistant Coach to the Australian Men’s Team, Head Coach of the Australian Women’s Team, Head Coach of the South Australian Redbacks (First Class Team), Coach at Cricket Australia’s Centre of Excellence, SA Redbacks Bowling Coach, State U/19 U/17 Head Coach.
Players will get the same coaching and information as Elite players in Australia, and develop structures to continue their development after the camp.
