The New York Under-19 boys completed a weekend sweep of warm-up matches against a New York Under-23 team, and Queens United Cricket Club. The Under-19 boys defeated a New York U-23 team by 94 runs at Baisley Cage on Saturday, October 9th and defeated Queens United CC by five wickets the following day in preparation for the 2010 USACA U-19 Junior Nationals, scheduled for November 12th-14th to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The boys wore pink shirts, and played with a pink cricket ball in recognition of celebrating 25 years of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is dedicated to increasing awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection.
The NYR U-19 boys will like to thank the Under-23 boys, and members of Queens United CC for their support in the team’s preparation process.
The New York Region Under-15 boys, Under-19 boys, and some of the regional senior players will join force next Sunday at Idlewild Cricket Ground in a Fundraiser event for the youths. Please make a special effort, and come out to support our future cricketers of New York. First match starts at 10:00 am sharp, followed by the 2nd match at 1:00 pm.
