At Beach 32-A in Far Rockaway, R. Bryan of Bleachers scored 127 retired hurt as they amassed a total of 382 for 9 against Old Stars in 35 overs. Deryck Kallicharran who scored 55, followed that up with a hat-trick in a spell of 3 for 11 to bowl Old Stars out for 132 runs. Bleachers won by 250 runs.
At Van Cortland Park, Michael Pusey got 101 not out against West Demerara as Crusaders scored 265 for 5 in 30 overs. West Demerara was skittle all out for 79, in their turn at bat, to lose by 186 runs.
Elsewhere at Floyd Bennett, Devon Spencer scored 104 as Blue Warriors managed 201 for 7 in 33 overs against All-Pro Masters. In reply, All-Pro Masters were bowled out for 90 in 29.4 overs to lose by 111 runs.
In a highly contentious game at Beach 32-B, Far Rockaway, Everest emerged winners by virtue of a faster scoring rate. Everest, who batted first, compiled a score of 344 for 4 in 35 overs with Debo Sankar getting 104. Lions King in reply only managed 253 for 4 in 31overs, of which C. Choi made an even 100.
At Gateway Oval, Village Rams defeated Bronx Valley Masters by 8 wickets. After winning the toss and taking first knock, Bronx Valley Masters compiled a score of 217 for 8 in 32 overs. Village Rams then easily overhauled the target for the loss of 2 wickets in 25.4 overs.
Jolly XI was a no-show for their fixture against Caribbean Masters in Danbury, Connecticut.
Caribbean Masters won by default, while Jolly XI were awarded “minus 2” points.
