The Girls Cricket League (GCL) will feature two teams – Future Stars and Trailblazers. The team names represent the persona of the the young, female cricketers and their potential to lead the way for women’s cricket in the US.
Sugetha Chandhrasekar, USA national player, will coach the Future Stars team. Priya Singh, President/Founder of the Missouri Youth Cricket Association, Co-Founder/Director of the National Youth Cricket League and member of the USA Cricket Participation Advisory Group, will support the team as Manager.
Joy Jones, former USA and Grenada national player, will lead the charge as the Trailblazers head coach. Tanangshi Banerjee, volunteer at the Dreamcricket Academy, will support the team as Manager.
Players will be assigned to teams after an initial assessment session in Florida prior to the start of the tournament.
