Youthful Rising Star Registered 10 Wicket Win Against Jamrock CC
The second year old club was jamming without captain Ricky Kissoon, but talented USA Under-19 All-Rounder, Regis Burton grabbed the opportunity and lead his troops in the jungle of Reiss Park, literally a “jungle”.
New York Region Under-19 All-Rounder, Rasheem James took advantage of the strong beach end wind, whilst seventeen year old Yogindra Dass struggled to find his line on a lively Reiss Park pitch. James picked up his first five wicket-haul of the season, whilst Dass, and Charran bagged two wickets each.
Rising Star opening pair of former NYCR Under-19 Leikram “Bugsy” Latchman, and Richard “Anthony” Rampersad continued to impress with the willow.
Latchman (41 n.o.), and Rampersad (40 n.o.) blasted 107 runs after 10 overs to secure victory for the youthful club Rising Star CC.
Rising Star CC will play Richmond Hill CC @ Baisley in the Cage on Sunday, June 13th.

Debo And Gomes Ensure Victory For East Bank
Debo Sankar led East Bank total of 232 all out in 38.5 overs. Returning to the side after a three week absence and also, playing in his first game of the 2010 season. He was very compose as ever as he struck an elegant 86 {7x4s, 3x6s}, other contribution came from N. Puri 24, C. Senior 26 and T. Johnson 14.
Bowling for Prince CC, Waseem 2 wickets for 44, Raheel 2 wickets for 46 and Naheem 2 wickets for 35 were the main wicket takers.
Prince CC chasing 233 for victory was off to a blistering start, there 2nd wicket partnership yield 109 runs off 11 overs. Kamran struck an entertaining 56 {7x4s, 2x6s} while Waseem hit 33. Both batsmen were dismissed by N. Puri. Fahad contributed 30 as Prince would collapse after a great start.
Mark Gomes would trigger the collapse, taking 4 wickets for 9 runs off 5.5 overs, N.Puri 3 wickets for 35 and T. Johnson 2 wickets for 41 were the other wicket takers as Prince CC made 190 all out in 28.5 overs.
