EACA 40-Overs Tournament
On a beautiful Mother’s Day at Bay Park, both Zamal Khan and Boujhnarine Persaud (Ryan) registered individual centuries for Hillside against Camelot Cricket Club.
Zamal Khan whose reputation is well known in Guyana and in the Eastern American Cricket Association (EACA) was the first to reach the coveted hundred; but it was the batting of young Boujhnarine that stole the show. With strokes all around the wicket Boujhnarine was in supreme control from the very first ball he faced. He is a very good timer of the ball and is never afraid to go over the top when the ball is in his zone.
In his effort to get to his first double century he fell for 185 in the penultimate over of the innings. His innings included ten fours and six sixes.
Scores in the game, Hillside 401 for 5 in 40 overs. Boujhnarine Persaud 185, Zamal Khan 103, R. Narine 30 and S. Ahmed 25 not out.
Bowling for Camelot Chris Baldeo 3 for 56.
Camelot in reply made 137 all out with Andrew Shivraj scoring 36 and Chris Baldeo 25.
Bowling for Hillside Z Khan 2 for 2 and R. Narine 2 for 24.
