Cricket Let’s Play USA
The International Cricket Council (ICC) – Americas region is seeking to employ Development Officers to work in the exciting Cricket Let’s Play USA (CLPUSA) program.
One of the ICC Development Programme’s key objectives is to increase junior participation and playing numbers across Associate and Affiliate Member countries.
The role of Development Officer – New York seeks to sustainably grow participation in the New York region, with a particular focus on developing the game in elementary schools and transitioning these children into regular junior cricketers through the CLPUSA program.
Key Responsibilities:
o Recruiting schools to be a part of CLPUSA program
o Planning and delivering quality programs within schools
o Delivering Introduction to Cricket education courses for teachers, parents and volunteers
o Promoting, recruiting and coordinating CLPUSA Ten10 regional competitions
o Developing and maintaining strong relationships to influence the sustained growth of cricket through work with schools, facilities providers, parents, volunteers and other cricket stakeholders
o Completing weekly reports for the Participation Project Manager which detail schools visited, competitions run, teachers trained and participant numbers
o Provide strategic feedback on the delivery of the program and any improvement areas
Requirements for a successful candidate include:
o Applicants must be New York based and have an understanding of the local schools and cricket environment
o Level 1 Cricket Coaching Accreditation preferable
o Department of Education fingerprint approval upon acceptance
o Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to present to groups and influence change
o Strong administration skills and proficiency with Microsoft word, excel and outlook programs
o Experience with delivering cricket programs to children, teachers and volunteers
o Experience organizing tournaments and events
o Passionate, energetic, self driven and results-oriented
Conditions of employment:
o Development Officers will be New York based and casually employed via an hourly rate
o Must be available to work both during school hours, after-school hours and weekends.
