The ICC Americas Under 17 squad of 30 players recently announced will form the core group of players who emerged from the recent USA Cricket Combines held across the USA. However, the group of players which will be the basis for selection for the USA squad for the 2018 Under 19 Cricket World Cup via the ICC Americas Regional Qualifier next year.
Those 30 players selected are Ozair Ahmed, Nikhil Ankolkar, Rohan Arvindh, Mohak Buch, Ronak Choudhary, Sam Das, Harish Easwaraiah, Karthik Gattepalli, Rohan Gupta, Saad Humayun, Alix Husain, Atul Iyer, Hardil Joshi, Humzah Khan, Nathan Kind, Karthik Lappathi, Awais Mubarak, Vivek Narayan, Keshav Pabbisetty, Gaurav Patanker, Aman Patel, Arjun Patel, Sahil Patel, Aravind Patnam, Raymond Ramrattan, Jan Schueler, Alexander Shoff, Maulin Vaji and Majjid Zubair.
The ICC Americas release noted that, “there is a lot of depth at this level across the country. This made the selection process very challenging but we are confident we have selected a quality group of players, who with hard work, can drive towards success.”
The release stated that the squad of 30 players selected may see players removed or added as it gets closer to the U19 Americas Qualifier.
