Visit To Antigua
Jatin Patel, Founder of USA Center For Excellence In Cricket (USACEC is committed to provide opportunities to play and promote higher level of cricket in USA in collaboration with the National and International organizations by means of providing Resources and Specialized Coaching to schools and Colleges).
Jatin Patel, also Vice president (2010 elect) of USYCA (US Youth cricket Association – inaugural election) to promote sport cricket in the USA schools and youths in the communities. (Since 2008 he is helping USA schools & Communities) to promote sport cricket at the grass root level by means of free Cricket education & equipment. During 2013 he becomes proud member of USYCA/ACF (American Cricket Federation) joint national youth committee member to support youth cricket in USA. Most recently he was first ever person to receive ACF’s (American Cricket Federation – Inaugural) Volunteer Recognition Award.
During October 2013 – he pioneered to establish state wide “Cricket study Guide” for teachers and student – in simplest way (that’s how our teachers and students wants to explain/understand) cricket in schools here in USA.
His vision to expand cricket in schools with the invention of his T10 – American version of cricket with lots of simplified and revised International cricket rules to accommodate USA style sports cultures is expected to be hit in USA sports where cricket was not followed for many reasons since first ever cricket game was played in 1844 in New York, USA.
Recently concluded his visit to Antigua and met many people down there – including Legends Andy Roberts and Curtley Ambrose
He met with Kenny Benjamin and Zorol Bartley at Sir. Viv Richards stadium to discuss cricket coaching and development in Antigua and exchanged his views on USA cricket development with future possibilities to join forces for more Island cricket which can facilitate many coaches and provide important platform for competitive youth level cricket with Vacationing.
Later Mr. Patel met with entire ABCA – cricket committee (Picture attached) where more coaching aspects where discussed and how Antigua and USA possible coaching opportunities can fruit full with expected growth of youth cricket in USA.
Mr. Patel is heavily involve in grass level cricket development in USA and also consider to discuss this common cricket matter with Legends down there to see what their views and how we can be better to move forward with success.
