Johns Creek Panthers Set To Pounce On GWCA T20

A Johns Creek Panthers XI led by Sangeeta Singh will pounce on the Georgia Women Cricket Association (GWCA) annual women’s T20 tournament this weekend in Conyers, GA.

The squad managed by Gana Natarajan and led by Sangeeta Singh with Vice Captain Janani Suthan includes up-and-coming youth players Advika Ganapathy, 15, and Adanya Baugh, 13. The two young all-rounders are both opening bowlers, and Manager Natarajan hopes that the two youth players will do well at the tournament.

The team comprises players from the Atlanta metro area and has played together since 2021. The Panthers have participated in the Houston Open and North Carolina. According to manager Natarajan, “The GWCA tournament provides an excellent opportunity for women to promote themselves as cricketers and build their self-confidence.” He added that it was a very balanced team and was expected to do well at the tournament.

The two-day tournament is on Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29, at the Earl O’Neal Sports Complex in Conyers, GA. All matches start at 9:00 am on both days.
