Liberty SC Congratulates Carmichael on Breakthrough National Performance
The members of GMA Enterprise and Royal Empress Catering Hall sponsored Liberty Sports Club would like to extend congratulations to Trinson Carmichael for his breakthrough performance in the 2015 USACA National T20 Tournament. Carmichael spearheaded his New York Region team’s bowling attack to help them to top their group and a semi-final spot in the competition.
The left arm orthodox bowler finished at the top of the tournament’s bowling table at the conclusion of the group stage. Bagging 8 wickets at 11.75 runs a piece with an economy rate of 5.88 runs per over when the group stage ended. Following the playoff stage of the tournament the all-rounder finished tied for 2nd on the tournament bowling list with 9 wickets, 1 scalp away from the top spot.
Carmichael joined LSC at the start of the 2014 season and enjoyed an outstanding year, excelling with both the bat and ball in New York’s Eastern American Cricket Association. The all-rounder led the club’s batting aggregate with 421 runs at an average of 30 with 1 century and 2 fifties in his 14 innings in the Power40 competition. He was also at the top of the bowling aggregates picking up 24 wickets at an average of 13.5 with an economy rate of 4.2 in the same tournament.
Bowling 15.5 overs in the EACA T20 Blitz which followed, Carmichael bagged 8 wickets at a miserly 6.13 runs per wicket and an economy rate of 3.16 runs per over.
The Brooklyn, New York resident was first selected to the NY Region senior team during the 2014 summer but was not featured in any of the 2014 tournament. Given the opportunity to play in the 2015 tournament Carmichael grasped it with both hands and delivered on his promising talent.
Carmichael will once again be returning to #TheBlueNation for the 2015 season to represent the GMA Enterprise and Royal Empress Catering Hall sponsored Liberty Sports Club.
The members of Liberty SC would also like to congratulate close friend of the club Alex Amsterdam on his successes during the tournament. The left handed, former Guyana U19, batsman finished third on the tournament batting list with 174 runs at an average of 43.5 and a strike rate of 156.8.
Liberty Sports Club once again congratulates both Trinson Carmichael and Alex Amsterdam and wish them continued and long last success for the years to come.
