MMZ Superstars won three out of their four games over the weekend; it was a total all-round performance from the entire team to see the Superstars team through to the quarter finals. In the batting department Guyana National player Richard Ramdeen has scored 180 runs , Andy Mohammed 120 runs, USA under-19 player Randall Wilson 75.

Good contribution from the veteran Debo Sankar, Sunesh Wazid, Zaaid Majeed, Youdesh Bissnauth, Amarnauth Persaud, Rhett Ramoutar, Balgobin and the young promising Rafeek Nazeer who was unfortunately injured trying to affect a run out. In the bowling department Sunesh Wazid was outstanding with the white leather having gotten a hat trick against Flatbush Eleven with figures of 4-0-28-6, 4-0-12 1, 4-0-27-1 and 4-0-13 2, the speedster Telston Johnson bowled with great pace in every game picking up early wickets for the MMZ Superstars, Youdesh Bissnauth, Andy Mohammed, Zaaid Majeed, Rocky Kowchai and the man with the golden arm Richard Ramdeen all bowled well.
The highlight of all four games was the fielding and catching from the young Randall Wilson who took some 15 stunning catches in the outfield and the brilliance behind the wicket by former Guyana Youth player Ajaz Asgarally who had 11 dismissals.
MMZ superstars will now wait on the outcome of a few more preliminary games to know who the face off in the quarter finals slated for October 5th.
