After winning the toss, the New Jersey Somerset Cavaliers opted to bat first. They posted an impressive total of 159/2 in their allotted 16 overs. The batting was anchored by Gajanand Singh, who played a blistering knock of 57 not out from just 27 balls, striking three fours and six sixes, ending with an outstanding strike rate of 211.11. Kennar Kevon Lewis provided solid support with an unbeaten 56 off 43 balls, including five boundaries and four sixes. Chandrapaul Hemraj also contributed with a quick 28 off 18 balls before falling to Keshav Raval, who was the only NYC Titans bowler to take wickets, finishing with figures of 3-0-30-2. Despite this, the NYC Titans bowlers struggled overall, with Viral Parekh and Ravish Khanchi conceding runs at over 10 runs per over.

In response, the NYC Titans faltered under the pressure, managing only 85/9 in their 16 overs, well short of the target. Their innings never gained momentum, with wickets falling at regular intervals. Aashish Katipally was the only standout performer, scoring 30 off 29 balls, including three fours and two sixes. However, his effort was not enough to steer his team to victory.

The Cavaliers’ bowlers dominated the Titans’ batting lineup, with Syed Najaf Shah and Gajanand Singh leading the charge. Najaf Shah was particularly lethal, claiming 3 wickets for just 8 runs in his 3 overs, while Gajanand Singh also took 3 wickets, conceding 19 runs in his 2 overs. The Cavaliers’ bowling attack was well-supported by Vraj Tarak Desai and Chandrapaul Hemraj, who chipped in with a wicket each.

Ultimately, the New Jersey Somerset Cavaliers secured a comprehensive victory by 78 runs (D/L method). Gajanand Singh was rightfully named the Man of the Match for his all-around performance, contributing significantly with both bat and ball to his team’s success.
