Following a decision late last year by the USA Cricket Association’s Board of Directors to split the West Region into the North West and South West Regions, with their own regional administrations and Regional Representatives to the USA Cricket Board, the wheels have been set in motion for elections within the two new regions.

USACA Executive Secretary John Aaron is overseeing the electoral process and has already outlined USACA’s expectations regarding the process, to the eleven leagues in that part of the country. Some nominations have already been forwarded to USACA, while a “fine-tuning” conference call with the league presidents is set for sometime early next week.
The new regions are set along the following league lines.
North West Region
Bay Area Cricket Alliance
California Cricket Academy
California Cricket League
Northern California Cricket Association
North West Cricket League
Sacramento Cricket Association
South West Region
Greater Los Angeles Cricket Association
Southern California Cricket Association
Arizona Cricket Association
Orange County Cricket Association
San Diego Cricket Association
It is expected that all leagues will be asked to provide authenticity of its league status per USACA’s Constitution, before being allowed to participate in the electoral process. All newly elected officials must undergo a successful background check, before being allowed to assume office, according to a communiqué issued by USACA’s Executive Secretary to all the league presidents.
It is expected that a complete list of all the candidates will be made public prior to the actual elections within the two regions. Elections are expected to be completed within the next 30 days.
