OCCA To Kick Off Youth Clinic For U-15, U-17 And U-19

Orange County Cricket Association
OCCA is pleased to inform you that plans are under way to conduct regular coaching for youth in order to develop U-15 and U-17 (U-19 depending on availability of players) youth cricket teams to compete at regional and national level. To make this effort a success participation of OCCA members, especially parents with children between ages 10-19 are paramount, not only by volunteering but also bringing children for practice sessions.

As you all know that OCCA has been involved with US Youth Cricket Association (USYCA) to introduce cricket to grassroots level, specifically, to middle and elementary schools. So far USYCA introduced cricket and donated free cricket kits over 1,500 schools across USA. We are confident that Cricket will be played at schools in near future, and your children will be benefitted by exposing to cricket in early days of development, as it is not yet competitive in USA and hence giving the advantage at the beginning to children who are interested.

OCCA will obtain the service of qualified cricket coaches alone with parent volunteers, and practice will be scheduled on every Saturday from 10.00 AM – 12.00 NOON. We want make this a fun as well as learning experience for kids.

If you are interested respond accordingly, we will send you the registration package. Please note that coaching is free as an introductory offer. Clinic is scheduled to kick-off from March 2014.
