The Cricket Committee of the New York Cricket Region will continue its practice and evaluation sessions at Gateway Park in Brooklyn on Friday, July 5, 2013 for women under-19 and under-15 cricketers. The program will start at 11:00 am and everyone is asked to be there by 10:45 am.

The session will include tests of cricket skills, speed, endurance and technical aspects of the game. There will be bowling tests for medium pacers and spinners and batsmen will be evaluated against medium pace and spin bowling. There will also be a focus on catching, ground fielding and throwing.

One of the objectives of the program is to select four franchise teams who will participate in the New York Region Elite Under-19 tournament for the Bedessee Imports/Exports Trophy and other awards. There will also be a competition for the women.

Each franchise team will be administered by a management and coaching team. The tournament is also open to Under 19 cricketers from the Atlantic and Northeast Regions.
