Prasenjit Singh, former Rajasthan Ranji Trophy and India U-19 player slams 161 not out in just 108 deliveries during 35 over Quarter final match against league’s oldest team Everest Cricket Club of Columbus, Ohio (Ranked #5 in 2013 MCT). Prasenjit Singh is playing his first full season in the United States as a opening batsman and Captain for his side, he bats through 35 overs to take CCI to 310 for 4 wickets. His undefeated inning includes 3 sixes and 19 fours.

So far this season Prasenjit Singh has scored 816 total runs which includes four centuries and 5 half centuries with an average of 116.57 . He leads 2013 MCT in most runs scored, highest score in inning and number of centuries scored categories. During 2013 season he was awarded four times as a man of the match, three of them with a 100+ scoring performances in the match. His performance grants him season MVP for batting in MCT 2013.

Cricket Club of Indianapolis (CCI) was formed in 2010 to participate in Columbus Ohio based Mid West Cricket Tournament (MCT), Prasenjit singh joined CCI during 2012 and appointed as a captain for the season 2013.  CCI, ranked fourth in the league and schedule to face Top ranked Columbus Cricket Club – Red of Ohio in the 2013 MCT semi final

Scores CCI 310 for 4 in 35 Overs with Hari Joshi contributed 90 with five sixes, Beat Everest CC by 57 runs, 253 for 4 in 35 overs as with two players from ECC scored 60+ before they retired hurt due to high temperature & heat index. Mohsin Kapadia of CCI took 3 wickets.

Columbus Indiana Cricket Team (CICC-2) ranked #10, another team from Indiana, also advanced to the semi- finals by beating Buckeye Cricket Club ranked #2 by one wicket and one ball to spare in a close contest quarter-final match.  The highlight of the match was a fine all-round performance by Nishit Dave (46 not out and 2 for 40) of Columbus Indiana Cricket Club-2 who was adjudged the man of the match.

CICC-2 ranked #10 in the league and joined MCT during 2012 season, continue their winning streak with a win over defending Champions and their own senior team ranked #7 during Pre Quarter final game at home field and schedule to face Kalvin Cricket Club of Cincinnati, Ohio #3 ranked team in 2013. CICC-2 has won all MCT games played since June 16th 2013.

Midwest Cricket Tournament is Columbus, Ohio based tournament was established during 1997 by James Persaud with 24 teams in very first season. So, far seven teams from Indiana tried to compete in MCT during last 16 years, with exception of IU Blooming Cricket Club all other six teams have reached at least semifinal.

2013 Cricket Club of Indianapolis (since 2010 & Columbus Indiana Cricket Club – 2 (since 2012) both have reached semi finals & both in form teams are expected to reach finals.
