Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress and working together is success. The MMZ Superstars is here once again to define the odds in the semi-finals and to seek championship glory. They will be taken on the defending champion Dragons who is led by the young talented Randall Wilson.
The MMZ Superstars is being led by the talented, disciplined and elegant stroke player Rafeeq Nazeer who is also the leading runs scorer in the tournament. Nazeer slams two magnificent centuries so far 143 and 115. Nazeer who is one of the rising stars in the New York region is in great form and he would be the Superstars main batsman during this crucial semi-finals match. He is doing a fantastic job leading the young MMZ troops thus far. The team is being managed by the experienced Ajaz Asgarally who is the most successful youth manager in the NY Region. His main objective has always been to win the championship and doing so in a disciplined way.
The entire MMZ Superstars team has also expressed heartfelt thanks for the work he has put in and all the sacrifices he has made to bring such a young squad this far. The team also includes youngsters that have gained experienced at the top level with those being Ryan Ramnarine, Shylendra Shameer, Chetram Persaud and Jason Hall all hungry for success. The team also is also looking for the likes of young mystery spinner Nicholas Nandan who can take the game away from the opposition in the blink of an eye, Robin Ramasami to play his shots and stabilize the middle order, Krishna Keeran to give them success with both bat and ball, Michael Ketwaroo to be the live wire in the field and the entire squad to be on their feet and rise to the occasion.
The semi-final match is on Tuesday August 26 at Baisley Pond Park, located at 150 and Rockaway Boulevard. Game time is 12 noon
