The youthful Meten-Meer-Zorg C. C. is ready to do battle in this year EACA Power 40 overs cricket competition which starts this Sunday, they will take on Phantom C.C. at Bay Park. The MMZ boys are thrilled to have acquired the services of the experience and talented former Trinidad and Tobago youth player Richie Sieuchan who will bring some experience in the batting line up alongside former Guyanese youth batsman, the dependable Deonauth Baksh and Team USA’s player and MMZ captain Azurdeen Mohammed.
The compact unit will include the USA under-19 batsmen Amarnath Persaud who is a very reliable all-rounder, the stylish aggressive left hander Trevis Ross, Saud Hussain and former Singapore youth player Glenn Meyer. The bowling department will see Rocky Kowchai and Rayhanul Islam sharing the new ball. The spin department will spearhead by the experienced off spinner Zaaid Majeed who had an outstanding 2012 season and the mesmerizing left arm spinner Saumil Gandhi who is back after a one-year stint with Arsenal.
