Canada’s bowlers, though not able to prevent the USA Women from posting a competitive total, put in a commendable effort. Amarpal Kaur was the standout performer, claiming three crucial wickets. Vijayani Vithanage and Mannat Hundal chipped in with a wicket each. While the bowlers managed to slow down the scoring at times, Ritu Priya Singh’s onslaught in the final overs proved challenging to contain.

In response to a target of 134 runs, Canada had a challenging task ahead. Their innings got off to a decent start, with Danielle McGahey and Divya Saxena contributing 21 runs each. However, the required momentum was lacking, and the pressure of the mounting run rate began to tell.

The United States of America’s bowlers maintained a tight grip on the game, with Suhani Thadani, Aditi Chudasama, Isani Vaghela, and Ritu Priya Singh all picking up crucial wickets at regular intervals. Kainat Qazi showed resistance with a spirited 24 off 22 balls, but her efforts were not enough to alter the course of the match.

The United States emerged victorious by 25 runs, primarily due to their batting performance, led by Ritu Priya Singh’s explosive innings, and disciplined bowling efforts.
