Batting first, Scorpion were 147/all out in 28.4 overs.  A. Khan led the way with a swashbuckling 62 for Scorpion.
On the bowling side, Tri-City’s Fizal Husain took a spectacular 3 wickets for just 5 runs in 1.4 overs!!  Ray Cecil also took 3/33, and Mike Persaud snagged two for just seven runs.
In reply, Tri-City slashed their way to 149/5 in just 26.2 overs.  Fizal Husain earned his all-rounder credentials with 60 runs, supported by Mahindra Prasad’s 23.  Kalika was the top bowler for Scorpion, taking 2/18.

Strikers vs. Pak America at Whitestone 1

Pak America arrived late with just 10 players, so the match was reduced to 30 overs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Strikers were 260/8 in their innings.  Shabaz Ahmed scored his first century of the season with a 109 run knock.  Shahzad supported well in the opening partnership with his 79 runs.
For Pak America’s bowlers, Asad took 3 wickets, and Sikander snagged 2.
In reply, Pak America were bowled out for 100 in just 19.2 overs.  Aamir top scored with 20 runs.
Striker’s F. Sultan was the class of the bowling, taking 4 wickets.  M. Irfan and F. Lakhi each took 2 in support.

Batting first, Statics made 173/all out in their 5 overs.
Pasban then replied with 174/8 in a close 34 over to win by 2 wickets.

Seven Stars vs. National at Flushing 1

Batting first, National reached 173 in their innings.
Seven Stars chased down 174 in just 19.2 overs, with Nadir Mohammed’s 54 and Andy Patel’s 32 leading the way.

Melbourne vs. LI Lions (formerly SVAM)

Match reduced to 30 overs due to late start.
Batting first, Melbourne were 202/9 in 30 overs. Dhillon (56) and MD Jamil (37) were top scorers.
LI Lions (SVAM) valiantly tried to overtake Melbourne, but fell 57 runs short on 145/all out in the 30th over.

TUCC (United) vs. NY Fighters at Waterbury CT

Batting first, United made 123/all out in 29.3 overs.  Top scorers were Yadram Sumair with 30 and Ehtisham Khan with 25.
On the bowling side, NY Fighter’s Nabeel Shafqat was simply amazing, taking 6 wickets for just 9 runs in 4.3 overs!!
NY Fighters then went on to make the required 127/7 in a surprisingly close 33.3 overs.
United’s Raja Ali took 3/18, while Virappen chipped in with a 2/19 performance.

Pak Punjab vs. Kings II at VCP

Batting first, Pak Punjab made 192/6 in 33 overs.  Top scorers came in the form of the opening partnership of Waqas Ali (64) and Haris Samra (76).
Best bowling for Kings II was Rocky Singh with a 2/37 performance.
In their innings, Kings II made a great effort trying to chase, but no solid partnerships could be sustained.  However, they still wound up on 191/all out in an achingly close 33.4 overs.  Top scorers were Gursimratpal Mahal with 28, Bheempal Waraich with 27, Sandeep Singh with 23, and Sumeetpal Mahr with 22.
For Pak Punjab’s bowlers, Waqas Ali (taking a page from Tri-City’s Iron Man all-rounder Fizel Husain) had a 3/30 bowling spell, with Muhammed Iqbal 2/31 and Adnan Ilahl 2/39.
