25 West Indies Cricket Legends

The cricket stadium in Fort Lauderdale will be a hive of activity when an all-star cast of legendary West Indies cricketers from around the Caribbean converge on the national stadium in Fort Lauderdale to take on a US Cavalier XI in an unprecedented cricket classic on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Heading the list will be the World’s greatest all-rounder Sir Garfield Sobers.
The team will be captained by super star, Brian Lara, and will include the likes of Gordon Greenidge, Courtney Walsh, Wavell Hinds, Gus Logie and Merv Dillon, just to name a few.
Also on the tour will be Sir Wes Hall, Andy Roberts and Clive Lloyd along with Alvin Kallicharran, Nixon McLean, Collis King, Colin Croft, Lance Gibbs and Deryck Murray. Fans will also get a chance to see two of the USA’s most talented young players; the explosive opening batsman, Steven Taylor, along with the very talented wicketkeeper/batsman, Akeem Dodson, as they “suit up” for the US Cavaliers XI.
All the cricket fans will be headed to a banquet on Saturday night at the South Florida Conference Center, 6101 NW Street in Margate, Florida, where the legends will mingle with all in attendance, and will be also be available to sign autographs.
Next stop is the Central Broward Regional Park for the big game on Sunday. Prior to the game, there will be a kids zone, where the children will get a chance to meet the legends. The game starts at 3:00PM, and will continue under the flood lights.
