Stage Set for Live Streamed Under-14 Girls Cricket Tournament

This weekend, the Central Broward Regional Park’s main stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, will be abuzz with the future stars of women’s cricket, as the Girls Cricket League gets underway.

The Future Stars and Trailblazers will play two matches on each of the two days, following an initial skills assessment early on Saturday morning. Coaches will use this assessment to draft players to the two teams. All of the matches will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park, the only ICC approved ODI turf wicket in the USA, and all matches will be streamed live at:

The tournament began a countdown two weeks ago and the players have been receiving daily inspirational video messages not only from the senior USA women players, but some of the most outstanding national players from around the world, including Stafanie Taylor, the West Indies women’s captain; Alex Blackwell, former Australian women’s captain; Suzie Bates, New Zealand’s women’s captain, and Charlotte Edwards, former England women’s captain.
