Third Edition Of sMassh T20 Carnival Set For Labor Day Weekend

Massachusetts State Cricket League (MSCL) is very excited to announce the third edition of “sMASSh T20 Carnival” for 2016 during the upcoming Labor Day Weekend, September 3, 4 and 5 (Sat-Mon), 2016. Last month a Facebook campaign was initiated. This year it is going to be 12 teams participating in the tournament.

This year’s cash prizes will total $10,000.  This year’s entry fee is $750. per team and covers tournament registration fee, Umpires’ fees, and balls. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the fields.

Please note that there are no restrictions on players’ (local or outside) participation, and no previous team rankings will be taken under consideration. Local teams can collaborate and form a team if a few of their players are unavailable during the long weekend. All teams will be allocated to four pools based on fresh draws. sMASSh T20 Carnival 2016 is expecting each team will play a minimum of three matches before the playoffs. If any team has plans to bring international players, please notify the sMASSh T20 Carnival 2016 officials, so that they may highlight the players in the ongoing advertising and promotional campaigns.

sMASSh T20 Carnival 2015 had few sponsors last year, and this year they are hopeful that more sponsors will be a part of the event. There are various sponsorship packages available including advertising (banners) on the tournament’s website. If you wish to advertise your club, events, or business, or know any potential sponsors please reach out to the event committee for additional sponsorship information. Adi Sports USA is the Official Ball provider for the tournament along with prizes for Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Best Fielder.

Finally, sMASSh T20 Carnival 2016 need lots of volunteers and support personnel.
