New York T20 Big Bash
The NY T20 Group, Inc. has two remaining spots for the inaugural New York T20 Big Bash Cricket Tournament scheduled for May 2 – 4, 2014. Two lucky teams can still register to participate in the tournament and grabbed the first prize of $15,000.00.
The tournament will be played at eight beautiful venues within Brooklyn and Queens including Idlewild Park, Baisley Pond Park,108th Street/Seaview, 88th Street/Seaview, 80th Street/Seaview and Marine Park. The semi-finals are scheduled for Baisley Pond Park and Idlewild Park, while the finals will be played at Idlewild Park.
The NY T20 Group has acquired the services of a group of highly qualified umpires from the United States Cricket Umpires Association to officiate the games. The 16 participating teams will be divided into 4 groups with the two top teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.
According to the tournament manager, Jeff Miller the games scheduled for Friday May 2nd has been adjusted with a new start time of 12:00 noon, while the second game will start at 4:00pm. This adjustment according to Miller is to accommodate teams coming from outside the New York City area and to facilitate players who have work commitment.
The New York T20 Big Bash Cricket Tournament will be a fun-filled three-day extravaganza featuring some of the best cricketers in the New York Cricket Region. The winning team will be awarded the New York Big Bash Trophy Sponsored by Cricket Zone and Trophy World and first prize of $15,000.00. To be the champions of the inaugural New York T20 Big Bash Cricket Tournament is an honor that the players, coaches and managers will be bragging about for generations to come.
Some of the teams that are registered to participate are Atlantis CC, Pak-America CC , Pakistan First CC, Somerset Cavaliers, St Lucia Masters, Atlanta Strikers, New York Blasters, New York Warriors, Empire Stallions, Bangladesh Tigers, and Vibes Challengers.
