Unity Win Season Opener

Winning the toss, Unity asked Ranchers to take first strike when they met last Sunday at Marine Park. In their innings, they struck 204 all out in their 25 overs.
T. P. and J. Bacchus 39 and 36 respectively were the main contributors for Ranchers.
Bowling for Unity, A. Tulsie was the pick of the bowlers finishing up with 3 wickets for 37 runs while Vibert Mc Lennon bagged 2 for 36 runs and V. Prashad 2 for 37 runs.
Unity was very convincing in their reply, romping home to a score of 205 runs for the loss of 5 wicket in 23.5 overs.
Opening the batting for Unity was veteran Steve Sookhoo one of the league most experience batman, who played brilliantly for an innings for 55 runs. This proved to be the catalyst for Unity’s chase and coupled with other good knock from Vibert Mc Lennon with 34 runs and D. Sanichar 30 not out, Unity was able to easily surpass their opponents ‘score.
