On September 22, three USYCA member organizations, Germantown Kids Cricket Club, The Wicket Club and Yuva Cricket Club opened play in a regional, tri-state youth T20 tournament.
In the tournament’s opening match, Germantown bested The Wicket Club by 29 runs. GKCC’s Yuvan Sundrani and Varun Gangadharan each contributed 25 runs in the victory. On the bowling side, Rohit Gore took 3-4 for Germantown.
This tournament is just another great example of the rapid development of youth cricket in the mid-Atlantic area.
