National Youth Cricket Day
USYCA President Jamie Harrison spent National Youth Cricket Day at Marley Middle School in Anne Arundel County, Maryland yesterday. The school received cricket sets donated by USYCA.
Harrison was at Marley at the invitation of Christiana Grue, who attended a cricket rollout session with Harrison last September.
This all-day event is timed to kick off recruiting for the Maryland Junior Cricket League’s newest entry, the Linthicum Ferndale Youth Athletic Association (LFYAA). LFYAA cricket will begin its first season in May, only a few miles from the site of Marley Middle School.
Harrison is also the president of the state youth cricket body, and is CEO of the American Cricket Federation, a recognized governing body for cricket in the United States.
