The American Cricket Federation is happy to announce its first addition to the recently established Honorary Advisory Board.
Former West Indies captain and Wisden Cricketer of the Year Clive Lloyd, the architect of over a decade of international domination, has today joined the ACF’s efforts in the United States.
“As someone who has always taken a keen interest in the success of cricket in the United States, it gives me great pleasure to see the positive developments coming from the American Cricket Federation. The ACF’s leadership and its member leagues point the way to a brighter future, and I am happy to give them my full support, and to join its Honorary Advisory Board,” Lloyd said.
Under Lloyd’s leadership, the West Indies appeared in three consecutive World Cup finals, winning twice. The ACF anticipates that Lloyd will bring this same winning attitude to the ACF Honorary Advisory Board.
“The ACF couldn’t be more excited to have someone of Clive Lloyd’s stature on the Honorary Advisory Board,” said CEO Jamie Harrison. “Clive is not only a match-winning international cricketer, but is also someone who regularly spends time in the United States and follows events here closely. His insights will be significant as we grow the game in the States.”
