Last Sunday Young Warriors won their semi finals game against Next Generation in the New York Softball Cricket League division IIB 25 Over Championship competitions. This will bring two of the best teams in this division together for the finals this Sunday; Young Warriors will take on Champions.
If the team names have any significance Champions might want to stay home, since they are already Champions. Young Warriors would not like this since they are on a winning streak and would very much like to take on a Champion after destroying a whole generation last Sunday.
Dara Singh and his Young Warriors would like to make it two straight championships after winning the last competition in the 2010 season. Young Warriors will be looking for runs from Dave Boodram, Dara Mangal, Suresh Persaud and Roopnarine. The same players will return with the ball and do the bowling with support from Roy Jaikaran and Bersford.
The task of Young Warriors repeating to victory lane will be a very difficult one, Champions has been playing very exciting cricket lately. The Champions manager Mohan Lall has put together a very good batting and bowling line up. Their batting and bowling will be led by the dependable all rounder Ramesh Barron.
With both teams equally matched, the team making the least mistakes could well end up being the new champions.
