St John’s Antigua –West Indies Women will tour Sri Lanka immediately following the ICC Women’s World Cup, which ended today in Mumbai, India. The series will be played from Friday, February 22 to Friday, March 8 and will include three One-Day Internationals and five Twenty20 Internationals.

The ODIs will be played at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on February 22, 24 and 26. The T20s will be played at the historic R Premadasa Stadium on March 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8.

West Indies have been improving gradually and finished second in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. They lost the final against Australia at the Cricket Club of India’s Brabourne Stadium, earlier today. Last year they reached the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s World T20 tournament.

West Indies and Sri Lanka played in the same group at the just concluded World Cup. Sri Lanka reached the Super Six stage while West Indies reached the Final for the first time. The Windies will leave India on Monday. The opening match will be on Friday.
