GROVELAND, Fla. (July 9, 2026) — The American Women’s Cricket Support Group (AWCSG) today announced that the Second Edition of its Premier Women’s T20 Championship will be held during Columbus Day Weekend, October 9–12, 2026, at the Orlando Cricket Ground in Groveland, Florida.

The tournament follows the highly successful inaugural championship, which was sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and attracted talented female cricketers from across the United States. Building on that success, AWCSG is preparing an even more competitive event designed to further elevate the standard of women's cricket while providing greater opportunities for player development and national exposure.
Women’s cricket returns to center stage with the second edition of the American Women’s Cricket Support Group Premier Women’s T20 Championship, set to take place from October 9–12, 2026.

The four-day championship will feature players aged 15 and older representing cricket communities from throughout the United States. The tournament will once again bring together many of the country's most promising emerging and established female cricketers in a professionally managed competition emphasizing excellence on and off the field.

"Our inaugural Premier Women's T20 Championship demonstrated that there is tremendous talent and enthusiasm for women's cricket throughout the United States,” said John Aaron, AWCSG’s media spokesperson. "The response from players, coaches, volunteers, supporters, and the cricket community exceeded our expectations. We are excited to build on that foundation by delivering an even stronger championship that continues to create meaningful opportunities for female cricketers while helping advance the growth of the game nationally.”

The inaugural championship earned widespread praise for its professional organization, competitive matches, and commitment to player development. AWCSG introduced several innovations, including a unique power-play bonus-point system that encouraged aggressive batting, comprehensive live streaming with multi-camera production, and adherence to international competition standards.

In addition to providing elite competition, the championship reflects AWCSG's broader mission of supporting the holistic development of female cricketers through leadership, education, mentoring, and pathways for advancement both on and off the field.

Tournament organizers are currently finalizing team selections, coaching appointments, match schedules, and special activities surrounding the championship. Additional announcements, including sponsorship opportunities, volunteer registration, and media accreditation, will be released over the coming weeks.

"Our vision extends beyond staging a cricket tournament,” Aaron said. "We are building a platform that inspires young women, develops future leaders, and demonstrates the tremendous potential of women's cricket in the United States."

The championship is expected to attract players, coaches, match officials, volunteers, and supporters from across the country, making it one of the premier women's cricket events on the U.S. domestic calendar.

The registration deadline is 9:00 PM (EST) on July 25, 2026.
