DALLAS β Milind Kumar struck an unbeaten 116 from 84 balls as the United States chased down 331 to beat the United Arab Emirates by six wickets in the ICC CWC League 2, 2023-27 at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium on Oct. 5, 2026.
USA reached 332 for four in 48.5 overs, with Kumar and Shubham Ranjane completing the chase with seven balls to spare. Ranjane finished unbeaten on 57 from 49 balls, while the pair added an unbeaten 160 for the fifth wicket to turn a challenging chase into a comfortable finish. Kumar was named Player of the Match.
UAE, having been sent in, made 330 for eight from their 50 overs. Tanish Suri and Adeeb Usmani put on 50 from 57 balls during the opening phase before Usmani was dismissed for 36. Suri continued to anchor the innings, reaching his half-century from 57 balls, and eventually made 78 from 78 balls with 10 fours and two sixes.
Muhammad Shahdad provided the main acceleration in the middle and late overs. He reached 103 from 101 balls before completing a 114-run innings from 107 deliveries, hitting nine fours and three sixes. His dismissal at 295 for seven came in the 48th over, but Basil Hameed's unbeaten 24 from 11 balls, including three sixes, helped UAE finish at 330.
Harmeet Singh was USA's most successful bowler, taking four wickets for 65 runs from his 10 overs. Saurabh Netravalkar, Ehsan Adil, Jasdeep Singh and Shubham Ranjane claimed one wicket apiece.
USA's chase began briskly but was interrupted by regular wickets. Smit Patel made 27 from 22 balls before falling at 38, while Shehan Jayasuriya was dismissed for nine with the score on 60. Monank Patel then made 55 from 62 balls before UAE removed him when the score was 134. Saiteja Mukkamalla, who reached his half-century from 52 balls, made 56 before falling at 172 for four.
With USA four down, Kumar and Ranjane took control. Their first 50-run stand came from 49 balls, followed by a 100-run partnership from 75 deliveries. The pair then brought up 150 together from 107 balls. Kumar reached 50 from 39 balls and his century from 76, while Ranjane completed his half-century from 47 balls.
Kumar's 116 included seven fours and five sixes, while Ranjane's 57 contained two fours and three sixes. UAE's bowlers struggled to contain the final partnership, with Ibrar Ahmad conceding 82 from nine overs and Aayan Afzal Khan 72 from 10.
