Usa, Namibia, UAE Begin World Cup Qualification Campaign In Grand Prairie

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — October 2, 2026 — The United States, Namibia and the United Arab Emirates will play six One Day Internationals at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium from October 3 to 13 as the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 continues the qualification process for the 2027 Cricket World Cup.

Each team will play the other twice in the three-team series, with all six matches scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. CDT.

For the United States, the series provides a home opportunity in the ongoing 50-over qualification competition, while Namibia and the UAE will also be looking to collect points in their respective campaigns. The matches will be played at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, a venue that has become part of the United States’ professional cricket landscape through Major League Cricket.

The stadium’s facilities and operations team will support the series, including preparations for the playing surface, matchday operations and services for the visiting teams and spectators.

The six-match schedule begins October 3, with the teams set to meet twice during the tri-series. The format gives each side four matches across the competition, making consistency important as the teams pursue points in the League 2 standings.

Grand Prairie has previously hosted Major League Cricket fixtures and will now turn its attention to international 50-over cricket. The series also adds to the growing calendar of international matches being staged at the North Texas venue.

All six matches will be open to spectators without an admission charge. Limited free parking will be available at the stadium, while food and beverage concessions will operate during matchdays.

The October 3-13 window offers local supporters an opportunity to watch three national teams compete in an official ICC qualification competition. For the USA, playing at home also provides the chance to build momentum in front of its supporters as the qualification campaign progresses.

The League 2 competition forms part of the pathway to the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, making the points available in every match significant.
