The American Cricket Federation (ACF) in conjunction with the Washington Cricket Center has planned Level 1 and Level 2 cricket coach certification clinics next month, in the Washington metropolitan area. It’s an ideal opportunity for those interested in becoming certified cricket coaches, more so at a time when the demand for qualified cricket coaches in the United States is on the rise.

When:    Level – 1: Saturday, April 29, 2017 – Half-day only clinic (9:00am – 2:00pm)
Level – 2: Saturday, April 29 & Sunday, April 30, 2017 – Two-day clinic (9:00am to 6:00pm on Sat & 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sun)

Where:    Washington Cricket Center – 198 Race Track Road, Laurel, MD 20724.
Course fee:    Level 1- $60.00/per person for ACF members, $30.00 for Ladies/PE Teachers. $80.00 for non-members
Level 2 – $150.00/per person for ACF members (Non-members $180.00)

Spots are limited for both Level 1 & Level 2 on s first-come, first-served basis only.

This ACF sponsored event is for ACF members and non-members with subsidized course fees. These subsidized Level 1 & Level 2 clinics would normally cost between $150.00 and up to $800.00 respectively. The clinics include all technical coaching equipment, refreshments and lunch on both days.

Successful participants will be awarded certificates of completion at the end of the clinic(s) and access to free online follow-up support. Participants are encouraged to bring their personal cricket gear for the Level 2 clinic.

All participants are encouraged to bring along any youth player(s), at $15.00 each to cover food, refreshments and facility charges, if indicated at time of registration/confirmation.
Registration ends at midnight Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Those coaches seeking only the Level 2 certification must be pre-approved by Coach Jatin Patel, prior to registering.

ABOUT COACH JATIN PATEL:  ACF Director of Coaching is an accomplished Coach and Instructor. In 2016 he was ICC & USA coach (for US Cricket Combines) and participated in ICC Americas – CPL High Performance Coach Training program in conjunction with the Caribbean Premier League launched in the USA. Since 2010 Jatin Patel has been pioneering Scholastic Cricket Education and coaching and is a Cricket Australia Level 2 and ICC Certified Coach, with a High School Coaches Diploma from NSCAA and a Certified Interscholastic Coach (CIC) for High School sports certified by the NFHS. Coach Patel also holds US Soccer national coaching and officiating credentials. He will conduct and oversee the clinics and the issuance of all certifications.

ABOUT ACF COACHING PROGRAM: The ACF Coach Certification Program is established in 19 States, with Level 1 Instructors in nine States. The program was launched in May 2014 for Level 1 and June 2015 for Level 2 coaches. As of March 1, 2017 there were 86 Level 2 and 285 Level 1 coaches trained and certified through this ACF program. (Counts exclude – School PE teachers and future coaches at the College and University levels).
