After a heart breaking loss to National Sunrise members solemnly knew that they need play hard and smart cricket and get back into the right momentum. West Cost winning the toss sent in Sunrise to bat, and Roopnarine Dayal, Sunrise captain open with Deryck Basdeo.

Antonio Dallia stroked 49.

M. Sarju opening for West Cost could not find his line and he gave several extras to start the game, while B. Lall found luck finding the stump of Deryck as he played over a ball in the 2nd over as Sunrise lost their 1st wicket with the score at 9. Young Raj Balgobin was given the opportunity to bat at number 3 but was quickly caught at short square leg with the score at 24. Wahab Hussain was up next and looked solid getting off the mark stroking the ball to midwicket. Unfortunately Wahab was run out with a mixed up trying to turn a double into a single leaving Sunrise in difficult position with the score at 31 in the 6th over.  Antonio Dallai joined his captain and looked destructive as he got off the mark hitting a six to deep square leg. Antonio batting offensive was explosive and with Dayal was able to stable the batting. Dayal disciplined batting continues to lay the foundation for his team as the Antonio powerful batting brought about remarkable comeback.

In the 11 over Dayal batting innings came to an end as he was brilliantly run out by an excellent throw from midwicket trying to complete a double. Week after week Dayal continues to lead the batting with his exceptional anchoring batting role as he parted making 19 runs and the score 65 for 4.Rohit Kowlesser joined Antonio whose batting was a treat to his teammate as he was stroking the ball commandingly leading the batting offensive. While Rohit another crafted batsman for Sunrise partner with Antonio and build a much needed partnership as they took the sore to 85 for 4 at the 13 over break.

West Cost bowlers found it impossible to penetrate Antonio’s defense as he was determined targeting bad deliveries and putting it away. While Rohit patient batting kept rotating the strike and giving Antonio to lead the batting offensive. Together they build an important 60 runs partnership as Rohit was caught in the 19 overs for 13 bringing the score 125 for 5. Ramjit Singh up next had no time to settle as he was required to keep up with the batting offensive. Antonio who played some classic cover drive shots going after cover drive in the 20th over seems to have not centered the ball as he was caught at short cover off the bowling of R. Rishideo with the score 137 for 6.

Rohan Kowlesser had 3 for 17.

Antonio batted responsible with a powerful batting performance and solid knock of 49 runs, and was instrumental in accelerating his team score. Rohan Kowlesser joined Ramjit as they both knew that need to set a good target and give their team a chance. Ramjit and Rohan looked to move the ball around picked out the aggression as both looked to post a solid total for their team. Hitting timely boundaries and quick running in between the wickets Ramjit and Rohan build a 49 runs partnership in the last 5 overs ballooning their team score to 186 for 6 at the end of their inning. Ramjit with 22 and Rohan with 12 not out were pivotal in closing their team batting offense and putting their team in a competitive position.
For West Cost V. Lall took 2 for 22, R. Rishideo was 1 for 16, and M. Sarju 1 for 31.

West Cost felt very comfortable that this total was achievable with their players looking optimistic. Captain L. Ali and V. Lall opened facing Khemraj Somaru as Ali looked solid taking Khemraj deep backward square for a boundary. Rohit Kowlesser was given the opportunity to open and was stingy, while Khemraj in his 1st delivery of his 2nd over bowled L. Ali with the score at 10 in the 3rd over. In the same over Khemraj who was on target bowled K. Sheriff with the score at 12. M. Sarju who was up next managed to settle down with Lall as they tried to stable West Cost batting. Sarju picking up the offensive building a partnership with Lall looked dangerous.

However in the 8th over he was bowled by Deryck Basdeo after 39th runs partnership as the score read 51 for 3. With Ravi Etwaroo in the rotation he had V. Lall caught as Rohan Kowlesser in his 1st over bowled R. Rishideo leaving the score at 65 for 5 in the 13 over and West Cost in trouble.

Ravi Etwaroo took 3 for 16.

With penetrating bowling from Ravi and Rohan it made it difficult for West Cost batsman to relax. Ravi bowling with accuracy had A. Mohamed caught for 19 while Z. Khan was run out with the score 94 for 7 in the 16th over. Ravi come right back and removed K. Lilkumar which squeezed the life out of West Cost batting and setup the stage for Rohan wrapped up the remaining batsmen.  Rohan had R. Ramsaroop caught at deep square leg by a running catch by Ramjit and in the same over had L. Bisram caught at deep long on by spectacular catch by Raj Balgobin for the final out. Ravi and Rohan was superb as they closed out West Coat in the 20th overs for 115 runs.  It was a key win for Sunrise cricket club as it build the confidence for the team.

Ravi Etwaroo was brilliant with the bowling figures of 5:0:16:3, While Rohan Kowlesser was right there with a spell that reads 4:0:17:3, Deryck Basdeo contribute 1 for 13, and Khemraj Somaru was attacking to start the bowling attack for his team taking 2 early quick as his bowling reads 4:0:25:2
