Atkins’ Triple Century and Leslie’s 7-for Seal Record Victory for Caricom Sports
Scorecard
The Division D 40 Overs encounter between Caricom Sports & Cultural Club (CSCC) and Boston Bulls – Knights at Acton Field 3 on Aug. 9, 2025 in Massachusetts State Cricket League, turned into a display of complete dominance by CSCC, as they cruised to a monumental 376-run victory. The day belonged to two players — Tyrone Atkins, who played one of the most remarkable innings in league history, and Leighton Leslie, who destroyed the opposition batting with a devastating seven-wicket haul.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, CSCC made their intentions clear from the outset. Opening alongside Joseph Edwin, Atkins launched an assault on the bowlers, dispatching deliveries to all corners of the ground. Edwin provided steady support with a composed 48 off 52 balls before falling at 165/1 in the 21st over. From there, Atkins took complete control.

In a breathtaking display of power hitting and calculated stroke play, Atkins reached his triple century off just 140 balls, smashing 30 fours and 22 sixes. His unbeaten 300 runs* anchored CSCC’s innings and left the Knights with no respite. Cameos from Brian Brown (28 off 13), Anthony Brown (12 off 9), Leighton Leslie (11 off 4), and Roshan Knight (27* off 19) pushed the score to an imposing 445 for 5 at a blistering run rate of 11.13.
Boston Bulls – Knights’ bowlers endured a torrid time, with Kedar Bagewadi (2 for 87) and Srinivas Trigun Kaki (2 for 40) being the only wicket-takers. The rest of the attack leaked runs at alarming rates, with Karthik Koppunuru conceding 126 in his 10 overs.
Facing a near-impossible chase, the Knights faltered immediately. They lost their first wicket at 2 runs, and by the sixth over, half the side was back in the pavilion with just 49 on the board. Only Kranthi Chinthakindi (19 off 12) and Mahesh Papade (10 off 8) managed to reach double figures as the innings collapsed to 69 all out in 13 overs.
The destruction was orchestrated by Leighton Leslie, who bowled with pace, movement, and precision to return astonishing figures of 7 for 35 in his seven overs. He was supported by Roshan Knight (2 for 14) and Alexius Brown (1 for 19).
This emphatic victory not only highlighted Atkins’ once-in-a-lifetime innings but also showcased CSCC’s all-round strength. The combination of record-breaking batting and ruthless bowling ensured the match was decided long before the final ball.
For Boston Bulls – Knights, it was a humbling day, while for Caricom Sports & Cultural Club, it was a performance that will be remembered as one of the most dominant in the league’s history.
