The official sanction of the tournament was received via a letter from USACA’s CEO Darren Beazley to GWCA. The USACA CEO is very supportive of the tournament, adding “It appears that this will be an excellent opportunity for American women from several Regions throughout the country to be able to participate in an exciting weekend of cricket competition.” He concluded, that on that basis, “USACA is pleased to officially sanction (the) your tournament.”

The permission of USACA and its blessings on the tournament was well received by all of the eligible women cricketers expected to participate in the tournament, and who all hope that the national selectors would be on hand to get a first-hand view of their performances, with a chance to be considered worthy of representing the USA at international cricket in 2014.
