After losing an early wicket Tre Manders and Shaquille Jones steadied the innings and put on 57 for the second wicket before the loss of Jones.

Another wicket followed next ball but this brought Alex Dore to the crease and he and Tre Manders played beautifully to put on 100 runs before Manders was out for 88. After this the innings fizzled out a bit and ended on 199-9 when earlier in the innings a score of well over 200 looked feasible.

For USA Ryan Persaud claimed 3 wickets and Zahib Tariq picked up 2.

In reply USA’s Captain Steven Taylor started positively with a flurry of boundaries but his departure for 25 saw the beginning of the end. USA were all out for 84 of which the Bermuda attack donated 28 in extras.

Bermuda captain Josh Gilbert picked up 4 wickets and was supported by Kwaisi James and Christian Gibbons, the innings ending in 22nd over.

Bermuda won by 115 runs.

Points: Bermuda 16 points USA 1 point.

Bermuda 199-9 (Manders 88, Dore 39, Jones 25. Persaud 3-45, Tariq 2-30)
USA 84-all out (Taylor 25. Gilbert 4-17, James 3-10)
