Cliff Roye Return As President of MCL For 2nd Term

Metropolitan Cricket Leagues executives (clockwise) Cliff Roye, Venelda Wallace, Barrington Bartley, Auldie Brown, Dervon Wallace, Orval Crawford and Vincent Green.

As stipulated by the Constitution of NYMDCA elections for an Executive body for the 2015 – 2016 term were held on February 21st at its 2015 Annual general meeting.

In a presidential race with 13 eligible voters, incumbent President Cliff Roye shook of the challenge of former President Trevor Walfall and returned for a second term with a 9-4 margin of victory. Auldie Brown returned as Vice President unopposed, Venelda Wallace returned as Corresponding Secretary unopposed, Orval Crawford returned as Treasure unopposed, Barrington Bartley was elected Public Relations Officer unopposed, Vincent Green was elected Marketing Officer after a vote of 8-5 over Bartley.

The surprise of the night however was the race for Recording Secretary when Dervon Wallace was challenged by Mikhail Miller; Wallace was elected with a 8-5 margin of victory.

The Cliff Roye led executive will comprise the following members.
Cliff Roye (Villagers C.C.) – President
Auldie Brown (Pioneer C.C.) – Vice President
Orval Crawford (Lucas C.C.) – Treasure
Venelda Wallace (Villagers C.C.) – Corresponding Secretary
Dervon Wallace (Villagers C.C.) – Recording Secretary
Vincent Green (Lucas C.C.) – Marketing Officer
Barrington Bartley (Westbury C.C.)  – Public Relations Officer
Congrats to the new Executive!!

P.S.  Quianna Reeves (Marketing Officer) and Hugh Pitter (Public Relations Officer) did not seek re-election. Bartley and Green were making their first appearance on the leagues executive board.
