Cricket Gains Popularity As USYCA President Visits Maryland School
On April 15, USYCA President Jamie Harrison spent the day with the students at the Severn School in Arnold, Maryland. Harrison was invited to teach cricket by physical education teacher Betz Wild.
The students picked the game up very quickly, and were soon racing between the wickets. The school was so impressed by cricket that they are moving to add the game as an official sports club, with a school coach and allotted practice time, for Spring 2017.
