Excitement Builds as USJL Player Draft Set for April 27

The US Junior League (USJL) proudly announced that all 12 franchise team owners have been officially finalized, marking a significant milestone as the league gears up for its highly anticipated second season. This achievement underscores USJL’s commitment to developing and showcasing emerging cricket talent across the country.

More than 350 players from across the United States—and several international entrants—have registered for the upcoming tournament. The much-anticipated Player Draft will give franchises the opportunity to build their squads from a pool of the best junior talent. Teams returning from the inaugural season will be allowed to retain three players—one each from the Under-16, Under-19, and Under-23 categories. Meanwhile, the six new franchises will have the chance to pre-draft one player each from the registered pool.

The second edition of the USJL will be held from July 15 to 21, 2025, at the Houston Prairie View Cricket Complex (Address: Houston, Prairie View, TX 77445). This season promises to bring a new level of excitement and competitiveness, injecting fresh energy and passion into junior cricket.

The USJL Player Draft is scheduled for April 27 at 7:30 PM CST, and will be streamed live on the USJL YouTube channel (watch here).

Each franchise will field a 13-player squad, comprising 3 Under-23 players, 5 Under-19 players, and 5 Under-16 players. All tournament matches will be broadcast live with commentary on the USJL YouTube channel, offering fans across the world the chance to follow the action closely.
