As the cold breeze starts blowing, the 2022 cricket season is coming to an end. Season seven of Kerala Cricket League USA (KCL USA) has made 2022 a year to remember in the minds of all Malayalee cricket fans in the United States.

The small idea that was formed in the minds of a couple of young cricketers has grown into the biggest sporting event in the Malayalee community.

The 2022 season of KCL had ten participating teams from around the tri-state region, battling it out over the course of six months and 66 matches. The thrilling grand finale of the season took place on September 24th. In a fitting final between Bergen Tigers and FCC Philadelphia who won by 3 wickets and crowned as the seventh KCL Champions.

Jaffin Issac was adjudged Man of the Match in the final. Libin John was named MVP and best batsman of season seven and Levin Issac was adjusted as Best bowler. A glittering presentation ceremony followed the match with several prominent figures from the Mallu community attending.

The chief guests was Honorable Senator Kevin Thomas. Commonwealth Cricket League president Ajith Bhaskar, Spectrum Auto Prince Baby, Event Gram CEO JoJo Lottarakara, JR Sporting Goods, Raj Auto CEO Rajesh Pushparajan, US Tax Service Joseph Kuriyapuram were guests for the event.

Several individual and team awards were handed out by the guests during the presentation ceremony. KCL president Jins Joseph announced that the season Seven of KCL USA was a grand success and they are looking forward to the 2023 season. Vice President Balagopal Nari, Jithin Thomas and secretary Sabin Jacob announced that the 2023 season expects to be bigger and better with more Malayalee teams.

The glittering success of KCL USA is the result of hard work from all the committee members, participating teams, and its players. KCL USA would like to thank Lesly Lowe, Ajith Bhaskar, president of Commonwealth Cricket League for their continued support and cooperation.
